About Us

Tony Jaques established Issue Outcomes in 1997 as a provider of management training and consulting services. He worked for more than 20 years in Corporate Issue and Crisis Management, mainly in Asia-Pacific, and served two terms as a Director on the Board of the Issue Management Council, of Leesburg, Virginia.

Dr Jaques is a frequent conference presenter on issue and crisis management and has run professional workshops in Australia, New Zealand, the USA and throughout Asia. In addition he is author of the books "Issue and crisis management: Exploring issues, crises,risk and reputation" (2014) and “Crisis Proofing: How to save your company from disaster" (2016). He also teaches in the Masters Programme at RMIT University, where he completed his Ph.D. in the field of issue management.

He is a prolific writer on Issue and Crisis Management and has been widely published in leading management journals and peer-reviewed publications, including Journal of Communication Management, Journal of Public Affairs, Asia Pacific Public Relations Journal, Public Relations Quarterly, Journal of Business Strategy, Corporate Public Issues, Public Relations Review, Corporate Communication, Journal of Public Relations and International Journal of Strategic Communication. 

During extensive work in public affairs in the government and corporate sectors, he established an international reputation in the fields of issue management, crisis management and risk communication.  Prior to committing to full time consultancy he was Asia Pacific Issue Manager for The Dow Chemical Company

He is a Life Fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Australia and served as Chairman of the Victorian Chapter of the College of Fellows 2003-2007.
